The Tudumo Times

28.5.07

A great start!

Last week, I had a small nap in the early afternoon. When I woke up I saw a mail from gtdfrk (see later) mentioning a blog entry reviewing Tudumo. I had a look and it was fantastic - I was on a high for the rest of the day! Well, a slowly increasing trickle of traffic turned into a torrent over the next couple of days and I got some really cool feedback and information.

Some stats I found interesting:

Firefox users were a huge percentage of the website visitors - 54%.
After the U.S. the second biggest visitor group is Spain at 7ish percent, although today it looks like Japan just took over there.
Total visitor countries - 45.
More Windows NT users than Windows 2000 users! And almost as many Linux users as Windows 2000 users.

Thousands of hits, about 700 unique visitors, about 70 downloads. Some feedback by email, none on the group or via the "feedback" link. 3 blog entries, a couple of "delicious" links.

About the reviews - gtdfrk said some really nice things and gave me some thoughts:

Then I got a nice link from a Spanish blogger - Jeroen Sangers:

And a nice review with a Vista screenshot here from jccrosby - interesting to see how others are using Tudumo:

So thanks hugely to all of you checking it out, and especially to gtdfrk for taking a look and sending me a bunch of users. Will add up the feedback and put a page up with a summary. If you use Tudumo and you want a feature in or out, don't forget to have your say - comment here or checkout http://www.tudumo.com/beta/ for other feedback options.

*Note - There are a few bugfixes in there already - I'll put up a new version soon - use the "check for updates" link under the help menu if you're not sure if your version is the latest.
